Indonesia is among the world’s largest contributors to plastic pollution, generating more than 11 million tonnes of waste each year while only a small fraction is recycled. Most of it ultimately finds its way into landfills, rivers, and oceans—an ongoing reminder that meaningful change begins with rethinking the materials we choose and the products we create.
For VOTED, sustainability is not a campaign. It is a design principle. Through the Earth Conscious Project, we continue to explore how everyday essentials can carry a lighter environmental footprint without compromising the quality, comfort, or longevity expected from them.

The Nouvelle Crew is a reflection of that philosophy. Knitted using 54% recycled polyethylene (PE) fibres blended with organic combed cotton, its construction transforms discarded plastic into a durable, wearable textile. Engineered mesh panels improve breathability, while the organic cotton delivers the soft hand feel that defines every pair. Rather than treating sustainability as an addition, the material itself becomes the foundation of the design.
Every pair represents a second life for materials that would otherwise become waste. It is a quiet demonstration that thoughtful innovation can exist within the simplest objects, and that responsible manufacturing does not require sacrificing performance or aesthetics.
As a member of 1% for the Planet, VOTED remains committed to creating products that contribute beyond their function. We believe sustainability is measured by actions rather than promises—through responsible sourcing, conscious production, and a long-term commitment to the people we work with and the environment we share.
The Nouvelle Crew is not presented as a solution to plastic pollution. It is one step in an ongoing process of making better decisions, proving that even the smallest product can participate in something much larger.
